Received a copy from NetGalley for an honest review.

Deeply personal, touching on issues of grief/loss, race, sexuality, and family. My favorites were "I see you" and "I learned of grief too late." I was surprised by how short this was but a substantial read. Modern poetry is new to me so perhaps it was this that I'm feeling over the length of the book. I can see myself re-reading this, taking my time with them, reflecting more on my life and the lives of others.
