Sweet Bean Paste by Durian Sukegawa

Beautiful and heartwarming
I chose this rating because I desperately needed to read the messages of this book. I needed to read about someone who was shunned and rejected by society managing to live a life filled with dignity, service, love, and sometimes even joy. I needed to read about a man who had made mistakes and suffered for them be able to find some purpose in his life. I also needed to read about the teenaged girl who brought her own problems, questions, and beautifully intense emotions to the story. It was interesting and sad
