Girl, Serpent, Thorn by Melissa Bashardoust

A very interesting take on a fairytale inspired by Persian mythology. It’s always fun to read a fantasy that isn’t set in some kind of medieval Europe, and many of the themes here (such as coming to terms with the negative emotions we aren’t supposed to have but inevitably do) are thought-provoking. Pick this up if you like fairytales with a twist.
