Loved seeing the diversity in the main characters! Mira is Indian and I think white. She's also a trans woman who has gone through her physical transition and is also an academic. Isabel is east Asian (pretty sure) and is a blue collar butch lesbian. 🔥
Overcoming sibling grief and past abuse in a romantic relationship are big themes, so watch out for that if it's one of your triggers.
It took me over a month to read this. Isabel and Mira were really sweet together. They had great communication, and they both had their own character development. The sex scenes were short but really good.
Besides all that, I just feel kind of meh. It was kind of boring. It was a very basic, safe, and believable love story with sub plots that I would describe the same way.
I would say this is the kind of story you read in one sitting.
