I am in the TRENCHES of this series. Vows & Ruins is great sequel to Blood & Steel and really takes you on a journey. Helen Scheuerer takes her time developing our main and side characters in this book, which I greatly appreciated (as someone who loves side character development).
My biggest complaint is the continuous back and forth with our FMC and MMC—I understand a need for tension and tug & pull, but it became annoying and immature (for the character's ages).
I wanted to literally throw my book after reading the ending—which I did not at all anticipate the plot twist—so I (obviously) immediately picked up book 3 to get some answers.
