Before I read this book I didn't know too much about demons. The second chapter was the first time I experienced

such gore, death and sorrow. But I felt because we didn't no them it was a lot better and we could only sympathise not fell too much pain. Clever Darren Shan!.

From there I found it slow and difficult to get stuck into until he went to the house. The rest of the book I was either on the end of my seat or sat back smiling.

The twist towards the end was genius and I thoroughly loved it, as well as the ending!
