The dedication promised double the number of lesbians... I got that with double the adventure of the first book. I enjoyed nearly all of it. I will admit that the new love story in this one was a bit 'bang my head against the desk' angsty for my liking. However, I also understand why and I appreciate the extra view that was given to Kianthe and Reyne's story because of it. Their sweet, years-in-the-making, banter is my favorite part of this tale. I love how their relationship has grown from the last book to this one, how they are becoming stronger together, as individuals as much as they are as a couple.

Again this book was incredibly inclusive. Just as much as the first. Thorne seamlessly acknowledges characters preferences and chosen pronouns. It makes me wonder why we make it so difficult.

Now I have to wait for book three. Not due to be released until March of 2025. Patience be damned.
