This was a book I bought in the fall and forgot about, and it was a lovely beach read to read on a cold Valentine's Day. I loved every bit of this book - how it was easy, made me think of easier days, and was fun and predictable in the best ways. It was also very cathartic, because the main character (Chelsea) both spends the summer mourning her grandmother and falling in love - which is how I spent the summer of 2024.
The story is sweet, simple, and a fast read. Did it win any awards? Definitely not. Was it cute and cozy and made me laugh and miss my grandmother and make me think of all the sweet things that I love about my partner? Yes!
