Ugh, this book was so good. Like, purposely read slow good. Rooney captures the complexity, the rawness, the masochism, the sheer stupidity of Big First Love. I hate the main characters because I see myself in them. This book hurts my heart and recalibrates my bar for 5 stars on goodreads.
