If You Need Me by Helena Hunting
4.5
I absolutely loved If You Need Me! This emotional story centers around Dallas, a man who is undeniably obsessed with Hemi. His feelings are intense and well intentioned, but at times, his execution leaves something to be desired. Knowing the depth of his feelings, I couldn’t help but love Dallas and root for him to win Hemi’s heart.
I loved Hemi’s character. A total bada$$ today, Hemi is grappling with her past experiences that make it hard for her to fully embrace the present and Dallas’ genuine and longstanding feelings for her. Narrators Andi Ardnt and Stephen Dexter nail the palpable tension between Hemi and Dallas, especially as they navigate the tricky waters of trust and vulnerability.
Despite some hiccups, the depth of Dallas and Hemi’s connection and the emotional weight of their journey truly resonated with me. Ardnt and Dexter connect you to these characters and keep you invested.
If you’re in the mood for a heartfelt exploration of love, trust, and healing, I highly recommend giving this audiobook a listen!
