The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood
4.0
The story itself is really very cute and filled with steamy tension. Olive is such a cute and ditzy character, I enjoyed reading her very much. And Adam was just to die for. I can’t say I’ve knowingly read a Sunshine x Grump book before but I will totally be doing so in the future.
Their fake-dating relationship was really awkward but cute and it was lovely following them both and seeing how she breaks down Adam’s barriers and the two of them come to terms with their attraction for each other.
The tension right at the end was so palpable and I whizzed through the book a little faster than I probably should have. I can’t say I enjoyed Ahn much and found her very immature and childlike but Adam and Olive’s interactions more than made up for it.
I would definitely recommend this book if you like contemporary romances but be warned, it is not for young readers as it is *definitely NOT a closed door* romance.
CONTENT WARNING: Sexual Content, Death of a Parent, Death, Blackmail, Bullying, Misogyny
