This is a great entry in the zombie genre. The story takes place in and around a gated community in Whispering Pines, NC, which is a suburb of Asheville, NC.

The characters are generally believable and, with one exception, are not the super soldiers that populate so many other books in the genre. They can and do make mistakes; however, none of them are the plot driven stupidities that occur in too many books.

The story contains a lot of humor and, if the author can continue in this vein, I look forward to reading the next book in the series. I never thought that I would find myself laughing so much at the story line.
