This was quite the wild ride of a story. It was intriguing and really sucked me in. There is a lot going on but it wasn’t confusing or anything like that, it all worked wonderfully together. I often find that novellas can lack substance or a solid story. But in this case, I thought that the story was well laid out and developed. I really enjoyed the author’s writing style, it was engaging and thought provoking. The ending was shocking, but not surprising if you take the whole story into account. I liked the shock of it though! It was fun.

If you’re looking for a well-done horror novella set over Christmas, then you need to read this one.
