The Ten Thousand Doors of January by Alix E. Harrow
5.0
This book was exceptional
Love to read about books in books hehe
The whole story grabed my attention. I really loved the main character development. I really enjoyed the way the story was told. Loved the ending, tho I feel something is missing(don't want to write any spoilers).
I bought the book because of the cover and the "jamuary" in the title ( I was born in january --and what better time to read it than now).
The book touches many subjects : race, gender discrimination, social status, money and power. I enjoyed that the story was about a person of color. And show her character growing from a girl into a woman.
**** spoiler ***
Cannot resist not to say this but I will try not to say to much.
The theory about doors as portals to new "worlds". Finding your place you can call home. This book really had me thinking about finding home. About traveling.
