The Mime Order by Samantha Shannon
1.0
D.N.F - Chapter 3
These books are so dense and hard to follow. I have read and finished the first book - I enjoyed the plot line of that book but if you read my review for the The Bone Season you’ll see I still really struggle to get into this world and understand what’s happening and most of all, remember all the characters!!!!
NONE of the characters are memorable other than Warden, Nashira and Paige It just makes me frustrated and bored (Who was the clairvoyant that got her cards tarot cards destroyed?).
At this point where I put this book down, chapter 3, if someone where to ask me 'Where is Paige and who is she with?' I would say 'no fucking clue m8'
Both of these book feel like a chore to read.
I also don’t like the Irish narrator on the audio book.
I hate to be hateful, but I just needed to express how much not being able to follow stories & characters severely BOTHERS me.
I MAY try re-reading the first book one day and go from there because I really thought this series would be right up my street
