I loved the epic multi-generational story of dogs throughout the Cold War when it was from their point of view or about them.

At the start, I did not like the Yakuza boss’s daughter.  But when she stopped being so passive, I grew interested in her story.

I hated the info dumps of history.  They were too long, and after the first couple, I skimmed them.  Without these info dumps, I would rate this story a 4, or close to it.
