I love that this book takes place on a farm. It feels like the perfect setting for this kind of story! It also includes one of my favorite puns using the word "ewe" in a cute illustration of singing sheep.
I really liked Aunt Bee's attitude about flies and honey because it's clear her intentions were good, but I do also wish she would have listened to Mimi or at least encouraged her to talk about her negative feelings towards Vicky. I know that wasn't the point of the story, but since that plot thread was woven into the tale it would have been fitting to address it a little better.
Overall, this is a cute mystery and I love the three-legged rescue dog representation here! This sort of acceptance of animals with physical "imperfections" is something we desperately need more of in the world because they are still beautiful creatures deserving of love and it's a tragedy that so many people don't seem to think so.
