Dallas and Blaire definitely outdid Sawyer and Ivy (but no one will be better than Daddy Wes…until we get Reid’s story probably). Anywho - Dallas was a typical alphahole for the first half of the book, and seeing his undoing was so satisfying. I have a soft spot for men who go completely weak in the knees for their women, and Dallas was no exception. The spice was so hot and there was plenty of it.
Blaire’s backstory comes with some heavy Trigger Warnings and it just made me feel so much empathy for her.
The Hayes family seems like an actual, realistic clan of rowdy kids and fiercely loving parents. Mama Hayes was my hero for how she stepped up to care for Blaire.
I do wish there was more development around Reid’s “assistance” but I’m pretty sure we’ll be getting more of that story when his turn comes around.
