It took me two attempts to get into this but I'm glad I went back to it.
Overall I liked it, I think the first and last third are much stronger than the middle section, the hook was hooking and the ending was mostly satisfying, there's also some genuinely darkly beautiful imagery in here that I really appreciated, as well as the obvious care that was put into crafting specific sentences. It's just a bit of a shame about the lag in the middle unfortunately
