Ford is a grumpy former Baseball ⚾ Pitcher who is still trying to keep his life in a place that he can manage. His career ended on a sour note, and his love life to Savannah was is over in a way he never saw coming. Ford still struggles with the pain that he feels over what he did to that kid when he threw that pitch, and what mess Savannah left his his heart in.
Reese and Ford were two people who had dealt with emotional trauma and hadn't truly dealt with the complete fallout of everything. These two were so raw and emotional with each other and I loved how they were so honest about everything when they were ready for it.
Acts of Service was such a huge part of their relationship and I loved how it was such a big part. It showed both Reese and Ford that they were worthy of the acts that they were receiving from each other.
This storyline has everything I didn't know that I needed. Angst, romance, suspense, a bar fight that even the women were fighting in! And we cannot forget the cowboys who would go to the ends of the earth for their family!
