Jasper Vale by Devney Perry
3.0
3 stars. When I found out that the main characters in this book were Jasper and Eloise, I knew I would enjoy it. I was excited, especially when their story started at the end of Garnet Flats. But although I love their chemistry, I also hate Jasper Vale. Because I had this inkling feeling that he still likes his ex-wife, and the fact that they had to go to the wedding to prove that he doesn't anymore make me mad, but, at the same time, I understand that they had to for closure. Also, I hate his distant behavior towards the Edens because it made him look rude, and the lack of trying and immediately giving up on the idea that he's not for family gatherings doesn't sit well with me. Amidst his shortcomings, I appreciated Jasper pointing out that Eloise doesn't need to prove anything to her parents and that her parents are too hard on her; and just like her other siblings, she deserves something that belongs to her.
