i dnf’d Howl’s Moving Castle, but i’ll still rate and review bec i had around 50 pages left anyway and asked my brother to spoil it for me 😭. anyway, i rated it 2.5 stars, and i wouldn’t entirely blame the book (and i understand why so many people love it). it wasn’t a bad book at all, it’s just that the writing felt dull, the story was confusing for me, and i’ve never watched a studio ghibli movie and probably wont. i only had to read it for some research. but it was quite whimsical while it lasted. calcifer was the cutest btw!!
