The book effectively captures the eerie ambiance of the holiday season.  The mystery at the heart of the story is engaging, while the characters work together as they unravel the secrets. Overall, the book is enjoyable, but the romantic subplot felt somewhat out of place and awkward. However, it IS a young adult read. 😝 Ultimately, The Longest Night is a fun and spooky read that will be perfect for readers searching for a festive fright. With its blend of mystery, friendship, and holiday atmosphere, it’s an excellent choice for curling up with on a cold winter night. (I know it’s still summer 🤣)
