This was SO GOOD - the perfect book for Halloween time. The characters are vivid, complex and interesting, the spooky/bloody parts drove the story forward and weren't just implemented for shock value, and the illustrations added so much to the story.
I loved how Brom explored the idea of evilness and that humans are very much capable to the same dark and cruel deeds as the devils and demons they fear so much.
