Dark, Salt, Clear: Life in a Cornish Fishing Town by Lamorna Ash

informative reflective relaxing medium-paced

3.75

Would I have preferred to read a a book about Cornwall by someone born and bred in Cornwall. Sure. Lamorna Ash is a “posh” London girl (her words) but is drawn to Cornwall as her namesake is a small coastal village, and her summers were spent on the Cornish coast too. She’s also well researched, spent time with Cornish sea folk, and put a lot of effort into distilling their lives into the book.
