A Deadly Education by Naomi Novik

I feel like I should have liked this more? Maybe it's a mood thing. I typically love Novik's writing and character development, and the premise of this book seems like exactly my sort of crack. As it was, I only just enjoyed it. Maybe it's the way the thoughts come out of the main character's first person point of view or maybe this wasn't a good end of year read. I will read the others in the series.
