"My Dad's Best Friend" is the third short story in the "A Touch of Taboo" series. This short story follows Blake, a young girl who has recently taken over her father's business. Her client wants the architectural style of Jonas, Blake's father's best friend. After an embarrassing night 6 years ago, where Jonas made it very clear he was not interested in Blake, Blake has spent her time steering clear of Jonas, but now she needs to convince him to work with her. She shows up on his doorstep ready to plead her case, but she ends up being stranded with him in his house because of a wicked storm outside preventing her from flying back home. Can Blake and Jonas come to an agreement?
This was my least favorite in the series thus far. I did not feel the chemistry between Blake and Jonas like I do with Katee Robert's other books. I also felt like the fact that Jonas is Blake's father's best friend was brought up an excessive amount.
Katee Robert is definitely a skilled smutty author, but this story just did not work for me.
