I'm excited to see more books on this topic and I think this one did a great job at questioning the status quo and giving real life examples of what else could be possible. While I appreciated the very real examples, I think the book was missing something beyond this anecdotal evidence at times. Still, if the aim was to highlight how friendship is and how giving it more room in your life could benefit you, it did a great job. I'd maybe suggest to pair this with Platonic by Marisa Franco, which dives into how to actively work on improving your friendships.
