I devoured this book in two days! Intriguing characters, mystery, history, crime, investigation, the great outdoors, class issues, women defying family and social constraints (or not and the consequences)—it’s so good! Short chapters/sections bounce around from character to character and various years kept me hungry for more. The only disappointment is that it ended.
