B.P.R.D. Hell on Earth, Vol. 15: Cometh the Hour by John Arcudi, Mike Mignola

5.0

Man, what a finale.

I wont go into details but level of casualties is tremendous. Varvara strikes in a worst possible way and she does remain a mystery - considering no management down below, her actions against the dragon, what exactly is her goal? Johan finally, finally, confirmed his role as a true hero. His conversation with the previous Sledgehammer are moving and it is interesting to see Johann trying to fight off the seduction of just letting go (especially when one considers how vain he was and antagonistic when he lost his "good-looks" body).

Rise of titans and clash with dragon [they created] was fantastic action sequence, truly epic.

All in all fantastic finale, with realistic (at least as much as realistic it can be in this setting) ending. There is no happy end, at least not for majority.

Recommended to fans of BPRD, Hellboy universe and world mythology.
