I should really have listened to everyone when they told me that I would love this series … (I know, I know, I’ve been putting it off for at least a year)
BUT JOKES ON ALL OF YOU BECAUSE I’M HOOKED NOW. give me all of the velaris, night court, feysand, mor supremacy because this series is about to be my entire personality for months on end.
(my fandoms do not fade easily 😅)
while ACOMAF is still easily my favorite, this one comes in a VERY close second. the battles, the lies and thievery, the deception - it all came to an end one way or another. and while I won’t give spoilers, I’ll say that this book felt like it was years long. I think back to the beginning and seriously think it’s a different book entirely. oops.
the spicy scenes were definitely lacking in this one though, but if that’s my only real complaint … 🥵🤌🏼
mor and nesta remain my favorite characters of all time, and I’m so glad that SJM didn’t do them dirty. I loved their character arcs and how their entire lives have basically shaped them for this single moment.
(elain’s character arc, meanwhile, couldn’t figure itself out from brooding to purposeful to depressed to suddenly a warrior? seems sus 🤭)
I just adore the night court and their found family, and how they spread their happiness to everyone that they touch. I already can’t wait to re-read them all.
