Beautiful! It is not encyclopedic - it's not supposed to be... but it brilliantly encapsulates history - part of our nation that is not easy to hear/read/see - with voice and visuals that are rich, authentic, delightful, positive, and powerful! So glad it is part of our school district's lit curriculum - it's a book all Americans should read and see and study.
