A Long Stretch of Bad Days by Mindy McGinnis

2.25

'The long stretch is more than just a run of bad luck. People died. Local businesses went under. Henley was literally destroyed.'

Henley, Ohio is a small town that, over a period of several days in 1994, experienced a murder and a devastating tornado.Today, Lydia is podcasting about it for a history credit so she can graduate. She uncovers clues to the murder that someone wants left unsolved. This isn't the thriller that I was anticipating, and the mystery didn't pull me in either.

The three other books I've read by this author have all been 5 stars, so maybe this is just a one-off for me.

'I don’t mind living in a small town; I just don’t want to die in one.'
