1/5🌶️
While this is definitely different from Poston’s other books, the title promises exactly what it gives—a love story. There’s that bit of magic the author puts into her stories, but also the character-driven plot. The FMC is quirky and relatable, and is given a chance of a lifetime.
Great side characters, a lovely (too good to be true) setting in a small town, and a grumpy MMC.
It’s one of those lovely romances that are the right amount of cheesy and adorable, and just what I needed to balance out other high-fantasy reads. While there is a romance between the FMC and MMC, I loved the FMC’s inner emotional journey the most.
