“Life lesson, shithead. Careful who you pick a fight with. Someone insane might love them.”

This quote was literally music to my ears!

“It's two people who were both a little lost until they ended up on the same path and walked together for a while.”

I love Wila – LIKE HOW COULD YOU NOT LIKE HER! She was so free spirited in the first book and that's the reason I started to strongly enjoy her character. In this book though we get to see another side of her which is the side of not always being so strong and letting someone else take the lead rather than yourself. I really enjoyed the realness to that – another part of realness that I loved was the fact that her and Cade COMMUNICATED! Couples who communicate are always the ones that last longer – even fictional ones! Showing your partner how much they mean to you and how worthy they are is a great quality to have that I think everyone should have. It truly shows how much you actually care.

“It’s two people who are happier in each other’s company than they are alone. Better together than they are apart.”

In the previous book Cade was definitely not one of my favorite characters, even in this book he isn’t my favorite but he did become more likable so I guess that's a win and he’ll always be the #1 panty bandit in my book though. IYKYK! In all actuality Luke was my favorite character – he was so loveable in the first one and getting to see more of his character was so amazing. I loved him and Willa’s connection from the beginning – in a sense Luke already knew she was going to change his life.

Having Summer’s and Rhett’s characters back was like coming home because for me they are the #1 couple! Their book was the start of something that will never go away in my heart or in my mind. THEY BOTH WILL FOREVER BE MY BABIES!!!

Other parts of the book I enjoyed:

“And I realize in that moment maybe I am heartless after all, because the beautiful girl with the copper hair grinning back at me right now is the one who stole it.”

The star wars references from chapter 8

The songs mentioned:
“Dust on the Bottle”
“Summer of ‘69”
“Fade into You”
