I have such mixed feelings about this book. As usual TJR's story telling abilities kept me interested throughout the book but I didn't connect with the main character as much as I usually do with her books. The main character Lauren felt so flavorless. Although she had a nice character arc and grew a lot over the course of the story I kept wishing there was more to her. She felt like a stock character and her husband Ryan needed some work on TJR's end to strengthen his character as well. Luckily the side characters (mainly just Lauren's family and Mila) were quite charming and I liked hearing about them and their lives but every time I read something good or particularly interesting about them I'd think to myself "I wish Lauren was made this interesting."
Overall it was a decent read. I have to give TJR credit though for keeping me so invested despite not being interested in the main couple.
