now THAT’S how you write a psychological thriller with unhappy marriages as its main theme. i was so, SO blown by the twist that i head to reread a few pages. i couldn’t believe it tbh but wow. fanfastic. i’m not giving it 5 stars through because i feel like one of the final twists requires more suspension of disbelief than it should, but i still think this was an incredible read. devoured in just a couple days. pretty good pacing, it felt a little boring—just a touch—when it was in one of the character’s pov bc there were just a lot of mottos and mantras and fortune cookie fillers so it dragged and felt a lil too overdramatic. but regardless, i really enjoyed this. super super shocking twist for me!
