For the most part I enjoyed this. It’s definitely unique compared to other fantasy books that I’ve read because it’s an urban fantasy but still set in a fictional land which is a really cool concept. There is a lot of politics going on which I love in a fantasy, however I struggled to connect to the characters because this book was under 500 pages but had multi pov, which means you don’t get to spend much time with any one character. I also felt like the plot was a bit slow moving in places, but I will be continuing the trilogy so I’m hoping I enjoy the next one more
