To me, this read like watching films like I heart Huckabees, Garden State, or any Wes Anderson film.   Smart humor, a mix of realistic and wild events, and great writing.  I compare this to film instead of other books because to me, this read like a play or movie: I could see the characters wrap up the scene after the chapter ended as though the director called "cut".

It is a mix of deeply emotional, heavy themes and smart, quirky humor with a relatable, loveable main character.
