After almost 10 years with her cheating ass husband (Lewis), Aija realizes that the cost of her devotion has been her pride and sees a way out when she meets a handsome stranger (Terrence ‘Tee’). Pros: Her best friend (Isis) was comedic relief. The author was able to write a cohesive story in under 200 pages. We get a glimpse at Tee’s POV via a group chat. Cons:
Her missing puppy (Diddy) was just swept under the rug.
The tired use of a character not exercising common sense in order to propel the plot forward. The group chat seemed archaic, because it was giving AOL Instant Messenger.
