My least favorite novel so far of this series. Darren is betrayed by a friend and is on the run for his life. He meets up with the wolves and they save him. He returns to Vampire Mountain to expose the traitor and save the vampires. My problem with this book, is most of it felt forced to me and the reason for the betrayal felt false. And then the improbale reason for sparring Darren's life, goes against all this book and other novels have taught about this group of vampires.
