This book was a great YA fantasy Mystery. I enjoyed the characters and how each individual played a part in the overall plot. There were times where the book seemed a little immature, but the main character is in high school so that makes sense. I am excited to read the second book in this series. I enjoyed the setting and love a magic school mystery book. I was able to follow along with the plot but also was able to be surprised by what happened. The “twist“ was not too hard to figure out, but they were parts of it that I didn’t see coming. Things I would like more of would be , a more in-depth look at how the society is formed and more backstory on some characters. The only reason it wasn’t five stars for me was because it just seemed a little cheesy and immature at points, but overall I very much enjoyed this book.
