Piper and Tyler were high school sweethearts until he breaks up with her in attempt to not stand in her way. Four years later, they cross paths again when Tyler’s sister Everly starts at the high school Piper is student teaching at.

Tyler and Piper finding their way back to each other is very sweet but the best story of this book is Everly and the hockey guys who have her back. I love how Everly began to blossom when she felt she had someone in her corner. The hockey guys show up to support her in so many ways. They help her with her homework, they teach her to drive, and when people are giving her a hard time at school, they show up in force. This book is super fun, actually more so on the reread. Rebecca Jenshak creates such vivid warm characters.
