The Wife Upstairs by Rachel Hawkins
5.0
Wow. Just wow. I did not expect to love this book as much as I did. If you haven’t read it yet, I highly recommend it. It’s a quick read and has a love story, a mysterious disappearance, money coming out of everywhere, and more manipulation than I thought possible for a single book.
Honestly, this novel felt like a unique mix of “Verity” by Colleen Hoover and “The Last Mrs. Parrish” by Liv Constantine – both of which I loved!
While the title gives parts of the plot away, the truth of the events that take place aren’t apparent until the end. Between the secrets each character holds close to their chests, and the manipulative personalities they’ve all developed to become the people they want to be – nothing in this book is as it seems.
