Learning to Feel by N.R. Walker
4.0
I would describe this as soft and sweet. With a side of steam!
It was a wonderful story of two men learning to feel. The first, Nathan, is a young Doctor who thought he was probably asexual. Prepared to live a life alone and overworked he moves to a small town on a whim. Where he meets Trent, a nomadic artist who’s not sure he’ll ever deserve or find love.
This is from the POV of Nathan. I loved the description of him finally feeling ‘something’ and also really enjoyed the very real emotions from the ups and downs. Though overall it has a very sweet, loving feel to it, it doesn’t shy away from the raw feelings of being hurt, scared, etc. They aren’t perfect, but they fit together perfectly.
The epilogue was also pretty great. It’s from 3 years later, and I love an epilogue that transpires after a chunk of time, it provides a really great sense of closure, and it was very satisfying.
