Pollyanna by Eleanor H. Porter

3.0

I was inspired to read Pollyanna after John Kralik mentioned it in 365 Thank Yous. I thought it would be hard to to find, but it was free on my Kindle. I was pleasantly surprised at how readable the book was, given that it is, of course, dated. I enjoyed the story and the moral was well-taken. Accepting reality as it is and finding the positive side of life's struggles and disappointments is actually a very modern approach to life for all of those seekers drawn to buddhist principles and other spiritual teachings that focus on acceptance.
