The book begins immediately where the first book ended. Jericho has betrayed Isabelle’s trust. This book is just gut busting with the twists and turns and reveals. There is so much going on in this book. I loved the romance between these two because although Jericho only married her to ensure that he ruined the Bishop family. He can’t help how he feels about her. She confuses him, she is not as evil and calculating like her family. Isabelle has no reason to trust Jericho. He has lied and betrayed her, how can she believe him when he says her family is evil. Jericho has such a hard time trusting her kindness with his daughter and although he loved his daughter he was unaware of how he was truly neglecting her. This was such a good book. I read it in one day. I enjoyed the secondary character as well since they added to the plot of this story and I cannot wait until we get Zeke’s story next.
