Baby they was i silent screamed into my arm at the end. Dang near had tears coming out my eyes. Ashley you did something here. This book needs to be locked up for how it did me. LOL.
THIS BOOK IS A BIG TW/CW. So please be kind to yourself.
Ethic was that dude. He knew Raven was too young all around and she proved his point plenty of times. He’s the kind of ‘gangster’ you should want if any at all. Head on straight and understood his responsibilities came first. My heart hurts for him.
Raven had me cursing her out every chance i got. Once you done lived a little and done things you’re not proud of you look at younger people just shaking your head. Want to go and save them. However, everyone has to leave. No she didn’t deserve what that demon put her through but at the same time people in general have to realize when you make certain choices you’ve got to take accountability. Not only putting your life in danger but everyone you love as well. If only a different choice was made. My heart broke for Raven.
With dudes like the demon aka mizan I’m telling you listening to that little voice in the back of your head is key. Stay far away from people like him. They got problems that only they can fix if they want. Until then they’re gonna take everyone down with them.
The epilogue though. I know that’s right.
A good classic type of book. A book a lot of young people need to read because hood or not this stuff happens in the suburbs too.
