Tunnel in the Sky by Robert A. Heinlein
5.0
Robert Heinlein continues to be my favourite Science Fiction Author. Every time i consider someone else, I read another of his stories and reassure myself that it's true.
In this tale, a survival class is sent off to an unknown planet. With the sole goal of surviving until they're recalled.
Gathering whatever they deem necessary to pass this exam, they arrive one at a tie in different areas with only their wits, instincts, and what items they were allowed to take.
But things don't go as planned. The recall doesn't happen, and they realise they're stranded with only each other and their will to survive.
I loved it, from the introduction to the group and their realtionships. The varying difficulties and dangers on the planet. How a class of teenagers would survive if left alone. With only their basic knowledge of survival, cooking, hunting, and crafts.
Will they turn in each other? Will they survive the planet? Read and find out
