I read this book for the first time in high school. I reread it 20 years later. It is as sweet and sad as I remember. It is a little cornier or tidier than I remember. I cried at the end. The bond between Mitch and Morrie is just a stand in for all of the the readers and their most cherished loved ones. Easy to see why it has been such a popular book.
